William Carrillo

SALT LAKE CITY — William "Willie" Carrillo, 82, passed away Dec. 26, 2013.

Carrillo was born April 26, 1931 in La Plata, N.M. to Martin and Mariquita Casaus Carrillo. He married Ermie Varoz on Aug. 15, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952-54 during the Korean War and worked for Chicago Bridge & Iron for over 34 years. He was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Carrillo is survived by wife Ermie; ten children, Trudy (John) Kirby, Fedi (Michael) Farnsworth, Joey Carrillo, Shonnie (Dave) Job, Tom (Julie) Carrillo, Joni (Tal) Harry, Lori (Roger) Burdette, Jim (Tammy) Carrillo, Kenny (Steffanie) Carrillo and Robert (Kristi) Carrillo; 36 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and siblings Ben (Angie), Olojia (Lee) Gallegos, Ernie (Angel), Rita Hall, Levi (Pat) and John (Ida).

Carrillo was preceded in death by parents; brother Abel; sisters Olivama DeHoyas, Marcy Morales and Sabel Dentler; and granddaughter Stephanie Marie Job.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
