SAINT GEORGE — William Joseph Coyle, 70, passed away following a four-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Coyle was born and raised in Denver Colo., the son of Betty and Lowell Coyle. After serving with the Navy as a medic, he had the opportunity to work in the pharmaceutical industry until he joined the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department and trained to become a deputy sheriff. He remained with the Sheriff’s Department and worked at North County and Santa Rita Jail until his retirement in 2000.He was as member and supporter of the Saint George Catholic Church. Coyle is survived by his wife, Dorothy Flores Coyle; sons John Coyle and James Coyle; step-son Brick Eksten (Jane); daughter Holly Kaye Tanner (Greg); step-daughter Hope Yancey (George Yancey); seven grandchildren and close friends and family members. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. George Catholic Church.
