>>>PARK CITY — Ten years is just a tiny fraction of the life of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Park City, founded in 1881. An anniversary Mass celebrated Aug. 17 by Bishop John C. Wester, bishop of Salt Lake City, marked 10 years since the dedication of the parish’s new church on White Pine Road. >>>HUNTINGTON "What can we do for the families of the trapped miners?" Father Donald E. Hope, pastor of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish in Price, Good Shepherd Parish, East Carbon, St. Michael the Archangel Mission, Green River, and Mission San Rafael in Huntington, hears everywhere he goes. Once reserved mainly for teachers of religious education, this year the congress will swing its doors open wide to welcome everyone who wishes to participate, said Diocesan Director of Religious Education Susan Northway.
>>>CEDAR CITY — A host of people have been credited with the old show business adage, "Death is easy; comedy is hard." Was it Oscar Wilde, Edmund Kean, George Bernard Shaw, Peter O’Toole, Edmund Booth, Richard Burbage, or Edmund Gwenn on his deathbed? No one seems to know for sure, but the Utah Shakespearean Festival, in their 2007 season, can certainly attest to it.
