SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — At a luncheon for bishops and an invitation-only dinner after the Mass of installation of Archbishop George Niederauer, family members and friends old and new shared in the archbishop’s joy. Both celebrations were hosted by the archdiocese with Auxiliary Bishop John C. Wester as master of ceremonies. Bishop Wester served as apostolic administrator of the archdiocese until Archbishop Niederauer was installed Feb. 15.

BOUNTIFUL — The St. Olaf fourth grade students in JaNeal Rodriguez’s class raised $1,119 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Utah. The money they raised helped John’s wish come true. John is 9 years old and he has a liver disease. He and his eight brothers and sisters went to Disney World in Florida.

SALT LAKE CITY — Archbishop-designate George Niederauer’s last Mass as apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Salt Lake City Feb. 5 in the Cathedral of the Madeleine was a glorious celebration. Organ and brass instruments under the direction of Gregory Glenn, director of liturgy and music for the Cathedral, blended with voices of the Madeleine Choir and the choristers of the Madeleine Choir School in the music of Giovanni Gabrieli’s Missa à 12.
