SALT LAKE CITY — As the class of 2007 at Judge Memorial Catholic High School gave Bishop John C. Wester a Utah welcome, they bid farewell to each other and to their principal James Hamburge. Due to family responsibilities, Hamburge will be leaving to return home to St. Paul, Minn.

St. Joseph High School holds graduation ceremony

OGDEN — Thirty-six graduates of St. Joseph High School approached the ornate altar of St. Joseph Church June 1 to participate in the school’s 51st commencement ceremonies. Surrounded by the saints and the Stations of the Cross, each graduate came forward and bowed to the cross. Each woman carried a yellow rose; each man wore a boutonniere of wheat.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Knights of Columbus are inviting motorcyclists to roll with them on Saturday, June 16 to raise money for the University Health Care Burn Trauma Center Youth Camp. It’s the second annual Knights of Columbus "Wild Ride" poker run with dinner, door prizes, and games – all to send young burn survivors to a place where they can enjoy outdoor activities and make friends this summer.

Highland High student has varied interests, gifts

SALT LAKE CITY – Luke Mirabelli is as at home at the piano as he is writing a piece of short fiction or poetry. Both activities are just scratching the surface of this 15-year-old Highland High School sophomore-to-be. He has traveled to Italy twice and is fluent in Italian and Spanish. He was the only freshman in his Advanced Placement (AP) English class. He plays clarinet and alto sax in the school band.
