I would like to thank Monsignor Terrence Fitzgerald for celebrating Mass at St. Joseph Villa several weeks ago to mark the end of an era for the Villa. As you know by now, the Villa has been sold to the Ensign Group. While we are sad to see that the Villa will no longer be owned by a Catholic entity, we are very heartened by the wonderful people at Ensign. >>>

Wester, bishop of Salt Lake City, welcomed visitors from throughout the United States to the Southwest Liturgical Conference, which was hosted by the Diocese of Salt Lake City Feb. 2-4, he wore an embroidered gold cope that was purchased 90 years ago by the Right Rev. Joseph S. Glass, C.M., second bishop of Salt Lake City.

SALT LAKE CITY — The new music for the Mass of Renewal was showcased at the Southwest Liturgical Conference at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center Feb. 2. William Gokelman and David Kauffman wrote the music for the Mass of Renewal to coincide with the changes that will take place in the Third Roman Missal on the first Sunday of Advent, Nov. 27.
