SALT LAKE CITY — Braving the cold wind, a small group of people of various ages, ethnicities and religious affiliations followed a donkey through the streets of Salt Lake City on Dec. 16. Seated on the donkey was a young woman representing Mary, the Mother of God; the beast was led by a man dressed as Joseph, Jesus’ foster father.
>>>The little lamb began to munch fresh grass. This would be his first shearing. He was anxious about the experience and was afraid he would have to walk back to the herd cold and shivering.

Christmas at the Cathedral — Tuesday, Dec. 25, 8 a.m.; 10 a.m. noon with Bishop Wester presiding and with the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra; 3 p.m. in Spanish with the Cathedral Spanish Choir. Vespers and Benediction with the Cathedral Choir will be at 5 p.m. There will be no 6 p.m. Mass on Christmas Day.
