St. Daniel's Day Concert at the Cathedral of the Madeleine

SALT LAKE CITY — The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine starts its 19th concert season with its St. Daniel’s Day Concert on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. This concert will include the following pieces: "Poème Héroïque," Op. 33…Marcel Dupré, "Quatre Motets," Op. 9…Marcel Dupré, and "Requiem," Op. 9…Maurice Duruflé.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Most Reverend John C. Wester, bishop of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, welcomed more than 650 members of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) to Salt Lake City and the Cathedral of the Madeleine at the opening Mass of the organization’s annual general assembly. The women filled the Cathedral of the Madeleine, and the Mass featured the voices of the choristers of the Madeleine Choir School. Nearly 60 priests from across the United States attended the Mass.
